(Giveaway) Regular OC Miel plushie

And here it is! The last plush of the year. When asked me in my poll if I could do a Beepony as one of the next species to plush, I was like "Hey, that could be fun". I was expecting she would win my birthday giveaway 2 weeks ago. So I made the pattern and the dummy, and it turned out pretty awesome. It also made me learn a new technique on the wings: as you can see in the bottom left picture, there is a pattern on the wings. Well, I made that one with my sewing machine with a technique called "Piqué Libre" (at least in French, dunno the equivalent in English). That was pretty tough to figure out what pattern I should make, how I would embroider that, you know the rest. I went on a simplified pattern of what you could see on an actual bee wing. I have a book with pictures of bees, wasps and many flying insects at home, so I made some research for that. I know it's an OC based on an abstract show for little girls featuring magical pastel horses, but having something a little scientifically accurate helps making things more unique. And funny enough, it didn't take me that much time to make that plush. The pattern for the mane and tail is fairly easy, I managed to machine sew everything, even the faux fur for the hairy neck - the faux fur is a little rough, that's to emulate the rough hair part bees have on their "neck" - so yeah! Even the embroidery didn't take much time to make. It took me like 2 hours tops to make it. And you have the antlers that were pretty quickly made too.

I seriously like that plush, and that OC as well. The design is really cool, and while my mom, sister, dad, and even my grand-parents and my cousin's wife thought weird to have a pony-bee hybrid - they don't know the show nor the brony community, that explains a lot - they started to get the idea, and my mom even found it really cute. She even wanted to keep the plush longer at home so she can see it longer And she doesn't do that often.

Miel is made out of Sunshine, Mahogany and Canary Minky Cuddle 3 from Shannon Fabrics, black jersey and pipe cleaners for the antlers and yellow organza for the wings and was hand embroidered with DMC embroidery threads. Wings are machine embroidered.
